You’re married! Congratulations, now it’s time to celebrate! The dance floor has opened up, and your guests are ready to show off their best dance moves. The dance floor is packed, but so is the photo booth! Guests who may not love to dance are having fun taking pictures, and guests flock to the photo booth when they need a quick break from the dance floor.
Having a photo booth at your wedding is so much fun, and provides diverse entertainment options for your guests. Plus, the photos are always fun to look back on! We’re sharing our favorite tips on how you can create the best wedding photo booth.
1. Fill out your event day details
When working with Bellagala, we ask that you fill out an event details form before the big day. By filling this out, you are giving your photo booth operator a peek into your wedding day, and providing them with key information so they know how to serve you best.
2. Location, location, location
The location of your photo booth is important for so many reasons! Of course, you want it located in a convenient spot for your guests, but another detail to consider is where a power source is located. Choosing a location in your venue that has enough space for your photo booth, and is near an electrical outlet will set your booth up for success!
3. Lock in your wifi
Bellagala’s Halo Photo Booth is so much fun because your guests can send their images directly to their phones, or better yet, they can share them directly to their social media accounts! How cool is that?! In order to do this, our photo booths require a stable internet connection. Be sure to lock this in before the big day!
4. Pick your backdrop
Now to the fun part - the aesthetic of your photo booth! Your backdrop is a key element of the overall look and design of your photo booth images. We offer multiple different backdrop options for you, but you are also welcome to bring your own backdrop as well (just make sure the dimensions are correct!). What will you choose - gold sequin? Or keep it simple with a classic white backdrop?
5. Decide on props
Let’s be honest, the props are everyone's favorite part of the photo booth. There are always the classic wedding ones like “Mrs. Always Right” and everyone loves the crazy glasses. Your photo booth props really add to the vibe of your images, so why not make them more styled to you and your new spouse? Bellagala offers 75 unique digital props that you can really get creative with, but if you’d like to further customize your photo booth props you can provide your own.
6. Confirm any designs
Although our images are all digital, they still have the classic photo booth design. Start thinking about what you want the frame around your pictures to look like, and if you want your names or wedding hashtag displayed. Then, log into your account manager where you can start creating your design.
7. Announce your photo booth
You’ve done all the planning, and you know your photo booth will be a crowd favorite at your wedding. Let’s make sure your guests know it’s there! Work with your DJ ahead of time to have them announce the photo booth when the dance floor opens up. This will help inform your guests that it’s there and if you’d like your DJ can make announcements throughout the night to remind your guests as well.
8. Any Questions? Ask your photo booth contact!
The last tip we have for you when it comes to your wedding photo booth is to ask your point of contact questions. Ask them if there's anything you can do to help make their job easier, or what other details they may need from you. Asking simple questions like this shows that you genuinely want to help them achieve their best results. Setting up an open environment like this for your photo booth operator will encourage them to thrive, and allow everyone to have the best time on the wedding day! Is there anything better than that?
